Sri Lanka Aging Survey |
|
Project ID: HH-003 |
Status: Completed |
To improve national policies and strategies in Sri Lanka responding to the challenges of an ageing population, the World Bank in 2005 launched a major research study of the issues posed by ageing. A key component of this study is the Sri Lanka Aging Survey, a household survey of 3,500 elderly Sri Lankans, which examined a range of issues and conditions, including living arrangements, income sources, health and disability, and social interactions. IHP researchers were the lead investigators for the health and demographic components of the overall World Bank Sri Lanka Aging Study, and as part of their contribution they designed and analysed the health components of the Sri Lanka Aging Survey. |
