OECD SHA Green Paper |
|
Project ID: HA-011 |
Status: Completed |
Sri Lanka was the first developing country, and the second country in the world to implement and publish national health accounts estimates based on the OECD System of Health Accounts statistical standard. This effort was led by IHP Fellows, Dr Rannan-Eliya and Dr Somanathan. Previously, the first implementations of the SHA standard in seventeen OECD countries have been documented in a series of OECD Technical Papers. As part of the collaboration between OECD/Korea RCHSP and APNHAN, a second series of papers are being prepared for developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region who have implemented the SHA system. For this project, IHP has prepared a description of the SHA implementation in Sri Lanka following the format of the original OECD Technical Papers, and this paper was published by OECD in 2007. |
