Project ID: SP-006 |
Status: Completed |
The Social Protection Floor (SPF) corresponds to a set of basic rights and services in place to ensure essential health care and basic income security throughout an individuals life time. It focuses on vulnerable groups such as children, older persons and those unable to earn sufficient income due to disability or sickness. The study assesses the extent and efficiency of the SPF components in Sri Lanka in order to identify gaps in coverage and other areas that require improvement. The study will serve as a basis for discussion on how to build a social protection floor that is customized to suit the needs and capacities of Sri Lanka. |
