Dr. Dharmarajan Venoden graduated from the Faculty of Medicine Colombo in 2003 with a second lower class honours. After completing his internship and a post intern appointment in cardiology at Teaching Hospital, he worked at the Base Hospital Tellipalai where he was promoted as the Acting Medical Superintendent in 2010.
He obtained MSc in Medical Administration offered by the PGIM in 2012. Thereafter, he served as the Medical Superintendent, Base Hospital Point Pedro from 2012 to 2014, during which time the hospital won the first prize in Quality Improvement Programme in Northern Province (in 2014), and third prize in National Productivity Award for the period of 2013/2014. |

Dr. Venoden completed the MD Medical Administration part 1 in February 2015. After serving as the Acting RDHS Kilinochchi for a brief period he joined the MD Medical Administration part 11 programme in June 2015.
