Dr. P.G.P.S. Karunarathna obtained MBBS degree from the University of Peradeniya in 2001, and MSc in Medical Administration from the PGIM Colombo in 2010. He joined MD Medical Administration course offered by the PGIM and underwent training at IHP in September 2015.
Previously he had worked as Medical Officer - Premature Baby Unit at Base Hospital Avissavella (2003-2006) and as a Neonatology Medical Officer at the Castle Street Hospital for Women (2005-2010). After completing MSc in Medical Administration he was appointed the Medical Superintendant of the Base Hospital Teldeniya (2011-2013). Since 2014 he works as the Deputy Director of the National Institute for Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation. |
