Dr W.M.U.S Wijemanne obtained M.B.B.S degree from the University of Bangalore, India in 1996, Diploma in Health Counselling from the Monash Medical Centre, Australia in 2008. She completed MSc in Medical Administration at the PGIM Colombo in 2010 and joined the MD Medical Administration course in September 2013. She completed her training at IHP in September 2014.
She was an Intern House Officer at Base Hospital Pollonnaruwa (1997-1998) She worked as a Medical Officer In-charge at Central Dispensary Sandunpura, Dehiattakandiya in Ampara District (1998-December 1999), Medical Officer at Central Chest Clinic Badulla (2000-2001), Medical Officer at Central Blood Bank, National Hospital of Sri-Lanka, Colombo (2001-2003), Medical Officer at Burns unit , Lady Ridgeway Hospital , Colombo(2003-2006), Medical Officer at Family Health Bureau, Colombo (2006-2010). After completion of MSc in Medical Administration she was working as a Deputy Director at Colombo South Teaching Hospital.(2011-2014) |
